37.5 Million Word Diary
Some of us want to scribble down our thoughts or what we have done in during the day in our diary. After that we tuck it away under our sheets so no one would read it. The diary can hold all the secrets that you have and sometime it can be just full of your random activities. We write on it everyday, after school, or every other day.
Rev Robert Shields does it better. He is an English teacher who stayed in Dayton, Washington and he was also a former Minister. Rev Robert Shields writes down in his diary what he does after every five minutes. He left behind his diary that consists of 37.5 million words after his death. He stopped writing when he had a stroke that leads him to being paralyzed.
He did not want to stop writing his diary because according to him it is like shutting down his life so he wrote for four hours everyday. Rev Robert Shields wrote down his body temperature, the medications he has taken and had only two hours of sleep because he wanted to write down what his dream was about.
It has been said that he suffered from an illness called hypergraphia which is an urge to write tremendously. He also stated that by detailing what we do every second and every minute one can discover something about so many people. A nose hair was also found tucked in his diary which according to him can be used for future study.

World Record Mosaic
Babies are so cuddly and very innocent to look at. Concerned people are trying to make help in conveying a message or awareness regarding with the babies. Amazing pictures of different babies taken when they are sleeping were gathered to create a huge mosaic infant picture. Mothers were sending pictures of their babies to be able to create and contribute to Shanghai’s entry to the Guinness World of Records.
In April 27 of 2008, Shanghai made world record for mosaic pictures featuring infants specifically pictures of babies who were sleeping. The large mosaic was composed of 105,196 pictures of sleeping babies. The workers work the mosaic took them 400 hours, an equivalent for 16 days and 16 hours to finish the huge mosaic pictures. The actual size of the mosaic picture is 33 meters long 20 meters wide; it is like it occupies an area of 660 square meters. The mosaic contains all pictures of sleeping babies. If you look at from the top, you can have a good view of the nine babies who are sleeping with four Chinese characters. Accordingly, the four Chinese characters mean “golden sleep” and the mosaic pictures convey a message that we should have awareness to the sleeping habits of the babies and their health.
The making of the huge mosaic is not only an entry of the Shanghai to the Guinness Book of Record but it also entails a deeper message. Awareness to what is beneficial to the babies’ health.

Fastest Handcuffs Escape Underwater
The skill of Houdini in escaping almost anything tied to him is the skill most criminals would surely like to have. There is this man from Rhode Island, New England, USA, who comes close to that skill. His name is Matthew Cassiere. He might often be getting into trouble with cops that he knows every details of a handcuff and how to get it off.
On October 30, 2004 in New England, Matthew ‘Matt the Knife’ Cassiere was able to escape from a pair of handcuffs. He was able to accomplish this in just 11.12 seconds. The more shocking about this is that he was fully submerged on a lake that time he was doing the stunt at Johnston War Memorial Park. Secrets on how Cassiere was able to do this were never revealed on the reports. Well, if it was me, I would not tell anyone that too. It might prove useful someday I wanted to escape from indebtedness or something.
The handcuffs belonged to Sgt. Daniel Parrillo (USA) of Johnston Police Department. He denied having sleeping on the job that is why he lost his handcuffs. Fortunately enough, Cassiere is not that bad at all. The handcuffs were retuned to the policeman after pulling off this amazing stunt. The handcuffs were authentic. And it was used to restrain criminals. How Cassiere managed to escape it is a mystery unless some fish or mermaid handed him a key to it. Let’s just hope the likes of Matthew Cassiere will not proliferate or else policemen will surely have a hard time catching bad guys

Corporate Birthday Cards
The other day my brother came home saddled with a massive cake (we share a flat.) Why? Because it was his birthday, and the business he worked for wanted to show him he was valued.
A massive cake isn’t the only way to show someone that you value them, there’s many ways available. Birthday cards can often do the trick just as well. And while a generic card might score points, why not create a custom greeting card that you can give to clients, employees and suppliers. This is doubly impressive and memorable. Cards Direct offer this service, where you an attach a custom message. Such as “Happy Birthday and Best Wishes From All The Team At Joe’s Pizza.” If you receive that kind of card, you feel that it was really a genuine display.
The cards at the Cards Direct website are attractive and professional. The card I checked had a price of $79 for the first 100 plus shipping. So that’s less than $1 a card to leave a true mark with a recipient. In my opinion that is definitely worth it. I know how I would feel opening a birthday card like that, given I have never received a birthday card from any business I have ever worked for or with. It’s such a small thought but it would go a long way.

Drumstick Collecter
Being a musician you should have your own instrument. And being in a popular band you cannot avoid people grabbing your instruments or giving away your priced possessions in a contest. Like, Peter Lavinger who is fond of collecting drumsticks, it is not just an ordinary drumstick but all of the drumstick he collected are signed by popular, infamous and influential drummers.
He has been collecting drumsticks for 25 years and so far he was able to collect 1,300 drumsticks! At first people did not believe that the drumsticks he have were really from a great drummer because it was not signed. So to prove himself he tracked down the owner of the drumstick and he had the drumstick signed.
Here this out every piece of the drumstick Lavinger collected is priced for at least $730! Though, not all of the sticks he had was not signed there are 30 sticks with no signs in it. The signatures either belonged to the owner or a band member. He is a huge fan of music and do you know how he was able to collect this huge amount of sticks? He attended concerts more or less 10,000 concerts! Because if this hobby or passion he is close to several popular musicians.
His collection was displayed at The New York Hard Rock Café in the year 1989. During the 1995 Labor Day until the February 2002, his collection was exhibited at The Main Exhibition Level of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum located at Cleveland, Ohio.

Million Toothpicks
Please do not be surprised if one day when you got to a grocery store to buy a box of toothpick and the cashier told you that they ran out of it, you better go after this guy named Saimir Strati. Mr. Strati is an artist and apparently he uses a different medium to express his art. He uses toothpicks to express himself.
On September 4, 2007, Mr. Strati finally revealed to the world his latest masterpiece. It depicts a horse which at first glance is carved on a wood. But if you examine it closely, you will realize that it is actually a bunch of tootpicks, one million and five hundred thousand to be exact. Mr. Strati devoted forty days to put together this 86.11 square feet work of art. This was displayed in Arbnori International Centre of Culture, Tirana, Albania.
According to Mr. Strati he was able to come up with the idea when he was showing how an architectural design would look like by using some toothpick that he found on the table. Whether if it was a used one or not, this was not specified in the report. It is at this point that the idea of creating a mosaic had struck Mr. Strati.
Indeed, Mr. Strati embodies a true artist. A true artist is one who is able to express his craft in what ever way and what ever means available. I just hope that the next time Mr. Strati come up with one of his brilliant idea, he would not think of using cotton buds in his next art.
